Yes, this is a belt-drive. I occasionally take interesting items in on trade, and historically-speaking this one is interesting. This version was completely redone to as-new by an obssessive audiophile who works in the audio business. New acrylic lid cut and drilled to match the original hinges; finish redone with new silkcreening of the original logo; metalwork polished; new improved wiring to the tonearm. The tonearm, which is taken very seriously by audiophiles and reviewers, comes with original box, manual, original cartridge protratctor, instruction with ALL accessories including even the paddles for the damping trough! Also includes original Mission clamp! This design is more along my lines of design: heavy solid plinth resting on three plastic-capped sorbothan footers (original Mission), with extremely heavy flywheel-platter. Take this ‘table seriously with a very good cartridge, and I’d wager it will outperform a Linn from the same period. Price $1000 USD, plus actual cost of shipping.’
